Far Infrared Sauna
At About Your Health, detoxification is one of our main therapy goals. Since most of our clients are stressed, with little time to spare, we are always after effective, efficient, lowest effort possible, detox methods. We have all that and more in our Sunlighten Solo Sauna. With the Solo, it is a personal therapy done lying down, making it one of the most relaxing therapies ever.
When you come for your appointment, remember to bring a towel and plenty of water with you.
While you benefit from one of the best detoxification methods (sweating), you can nap, listen to your favorite music, or just enjoy quiet time. Far infrared heat is great at getting to the toxins stored in the fat cells.
The benefits of far infrared saunas are multiple, ranging from:
Detoxification
Pain Relief
Increased Circulation
Improved Joint Stiffness
Reduction of Cellulite
Improves Skin
As your body is reveling in the healthy warmth of the far infrared, your head is outside of the heat, so that you are breathing cooler air. This eliminates that confined feeling some people experience if they get hot and are unable to "cool down.”
Tips for using the sauna: Drink plenty of fluids prior to, during, and after your session. Do not put any lotions or oils on the body or face when using the sauna. This may block the pores and hinder perspiration. Do not eat anything at least an hour before your sauna session. It is better to go in the sauna on an empty stomach. You are more likely to feel uncomfortable sitting in a sauna with a full stomach.
Far infrared heat is completely safe - so safe it is the type of heat used to warm infants in hospitals. Far infrared heat has the ability to penetrate human tissue, giving you that luxurious feeling you get while sunbathing- without the harmful rays. Using a Far Infrared Sauna is not advised if any of these contraindications apply to you. (click to read list)
